I've been reading Icewind dale trilogy by RA. Salvatore, and I really like the way he describes the environment inside the guild of thieves where "Pasha pook" rules. I still need to focus on the more basic shapes and not start doing details, which is a really bad habit I got. This one is ~2h, Painter IX, and some post-saturation changes in Photoshop (which I probally overdid).
Btw. I read the other day some people believed that the most important thing for a portrait is not the eyes but in fact the mouth. The mouth apparently mirrors the soul of one person - something to think about when your doing a portrait next time.
